I'm interested to see how the "Executive Vice President of Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise group" plans to change Microsoft.
I'm already a little annoyed by the buzzword "Cloud" even though the cloud symbol has been used in computers to represent networks for well over 20 years. Private clouds, public clouds, and cloud services are trying to mask the true location and network services actually run. While some of this is good, I think the terminology just leads to more confusion.
So, does Microsoft intend to push us all to do more "Cloud" computing?
Will Microsoft create tablets that are purely browser based like Chromebooks, or render Virtual OS Desktops in browser windows? Will they lead us to a point where we run extremely thin OSs that increase in Start Screen options once signed in to run Remote Apps?
These are all possibilities in todays market of technology. I am interested to see where it goes now that we have a CEO that has been focused on "Cloud" technology for so long.
