This is an awful idea that I hope the FCC stops. It is not in the best interest of the consumer. Consolidation of major carriers does NOT increase competition. In the end we'll all end up paying more for the same thing or the same for less. In addition, many of these companies are backbone providers of internet. Will they have to pay themselves for priority "high-speed lane" access on their own networks which they are intending to charge others?
