I don't always feel like continually communicating with everyone all the time, so it's no surprise that I don't look for new ways to chat with people I already have a method of communicating with.

So, what I am seeing here is the last portion, Opt-IN marketing...yuck! I don't need more adds bothering me as if someone were chatting with me. Unfortunately, we're already inundated with so many advertisements that we sometimes don't even realize we're being advertised to. This is the point that subliminal advertising becomes more too commercial. Could you imagine breaking your sentence to interject an ad for a brand while you're sitting at lunch chatting with coworkers.
Furthermore, I have friends that are shutting down their Facebook accounts. This would mean they would have to have a Facebook account in order to use the service.
