I mean its not surprising that they would be attempting to attack the tor network. Having a way to anonymously browse the internet doesn't coincide with the surveillance governments want to place on their people, especially here in America.

Recently there were news stories about unmasking TOR users using metasploit and specially crafted Flash to create a direct connection to a server intended on identifying the real IP address of the user.
